Our very first pick of new avocado variety Maluma Hass. The fruit is generally larger, more creamy, with a smaller stone & a rougher skin than the original Hass. The skin still changes from green to purply-black when ripe. Try them if you get the chance!
Heading Rhodes Grass seed with a Cat Lexion combine harvester at Kairi. Cutting and windrowing grass behind the header to cure for baling using a Massey Ferguson WR9760 Windrower. Kairi township & stunning Mt Bartle Frere in the background.
We all know its dry out there….. so now is the time to order your stock feed hay for the coming spring months. We’ve just filled our shed with beautiful fresh Finecut Rhodes hay in round & large square bales. Get your order in before it runs out!! Selling by the semi-load only…!!
Busy Bees Video Check out our busy little bee-buddies hard at work pollinating avocado flowers. Without these guys we wouldn’t have any avos. These flowers will eventually become our 2019 avocado crop. Thanks to Graham Thornton at HONEY PROVIDORE for this wonderful pollinating service.
Today we had the pleasure of meeting with a group of visiting grass seed producers and developers from Argentina. We had a lovely time chatting over a cuppa & taking them on a tour of our Tolga farm & seed cleaning facilities. Thanks Rod & Rhino from Selected Seeds for organising the visit!
We’re gearing up for the main 2018 avo harvest & our little babies are looking goooood…..!!
