PRiMO PRODUCE has a combined experience of more than 80 years in hay production. We began producing hay for stock feed as a bi-product of grass seed production. For 40 years we have been supplying good quality stock feed hay throughout Queensland and interstate.
Our dedication to the fodder industry has driven us to continually develop our knowledge and expertise in hay making. Part of this development involves investment in modern hay making equipment and techniques. Technology and engineering is constantly evolving to meet new demands and conditions. Reliable Quality and Supply
The Atherton Tableland region of North Queensland is now the largest tropical seed production area in Australia. Consequently, hay production is closely linked with this industry. The Tableland is a key hay production region due to its reliable rainfall, fertile soils and mild climate. While summer is the traditional growing season for Finecut Rhodes, PRiMO PRODUCE produce hay virtually all year round with the aid of irrigation and very mild winters.
As supply and demand is not always concurrent, proper storage of hay is critical. We have shed storage for up to 5,000 large square bales at any one time.
Our hay is used by a wide range of industries including: Produce Stores, Cattle Stations, Feedlots, Sale Yards, Stock and Station Agents, Stud Farms and Dairy Farms.
A loading service is available for customers by appointment only. Please contact us for more information about our hay. Minimum quantities do apply for all orders.
Cartage and delivery of hay can be arranged on behalf of customers using a number of reputable transport operators.

Testing and Quality Assurance
Primo Produce is a Freshcare Accredited producer of Fresh Produce & Fodder Crops – Certification Number P4001925. Copies of Freshcare Certification are made available to customers on request. PRiMO PRODUCE has held this accreditation since October 2002.
In addition to the Freshcare accreditation, we submit samples of hay to be tested for a range of pesticide residues, heavy metals, microbial contamination and feed values.
